Arbor Bits Releases iCamShare 2.0.3

ANN ARBOR, MI — April 4, 2006 — Arbor Bits (www.arborbits.com) has released iCamShare 2.0.3, our webcam application for sharing videos and pictures with family and friends. You can capture videos and pictures from your iSight or other webcam, and send them in e-mails, publish them on your .Mac HomePage, drag and drop them into other applications, and more!

Version 2.0.3 now also supports Apple's new Intel-based computers, including the iMac, MacBook Pro, and new Mac Mini. It also updates its integrated web store, and includes the latest .mac support from Apple.

iCamShare includes support for trimming of unwanted portions at the beginning or end of videos, and access to camera and audio controls.

You can send video e-mails easily, and your recipient can watch them on their Mac or Windows computer, in some cases right inside their own e-mail program! Unlike video conferencing, you can send video e-mails whenever you want, and the recipient can watch them whenever they want.

While iChat AV requires that both users have high-speed (broadband) internet connections, iCamShare works with any internet connection, including dial-up modems. If your OS X-based Mac can send e-mails, you can send video mails. And the videos you make will work on most Macintosh and Windows computers, even if you send it to someone who does not have QuickTime. But if you use QuickTime's superior compression, you can compress your videos by up to 500x!

You can also share your videos and pictures in many other ways. If you have a .Mac account, you can easily capture and publish on your .Mac HomePage. You can also drag-and-drop pictures into many applications, like Microsoft Office applications, Adobe products such as PhotoShop, Lifli Software's iBlog, and many others. Or you can save your video or picture on your computer, to use any way you want. In addition, you can export them into any format supported by QuickTime.

iCamShare is a versatile tool, empowering many different types of users. Teachers can use iCamShare for video correspondence with schools in other locations. For example, students in a Spanish class could correspond with students their age in Mexico or Spain. Parents can keep in touch with their children whenever they can't be there. Children can thank Grandma for their new sweater, and show her how it looks on them.

iCamShare also makes a great gift for anyone. It's easy-to-use interface means that Dad can send a video mail without pouring through manuals and Dummy's guides.

You can try iCamShare before you buy, to see just how easy and fun it is! When you decide to buy it, you can use the built-in purchase system, or buy from our web store for only $14.95 USD.

iCamShare works with Apple's iSight, and most other webcams that work on OS X. Also, many camcorders with FireWire (aka, 1394, iLink) can work as web cams on OS X. Give it a try!

iCamShare works with many OS X-based e-mail applications, including Apple's Mail application, Microsoft Entourage, Eudora, and others.
